Definition
A controlled experiment in which two versions of a content element — such as a thumbnail, title, email subject line, or call-to-action — are shown to different segments of an audience to determine which version performs better against a defined metric. A/B testing removes guesswork from content optimization by providing empirical data about what actually resonates with a specific audience.
