Agentic AI

Also known as:Autonomous AIAgent-Based AI

Definition

Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to operate with a high degree of autonomy, pursuing multi-step goals by planning, reasoning, and executing sequences of actions without requiring human input at each step. The term distinguishes these systems from reactive AI models that simply respond to a single prompt. For creators, agentic AI represents both an opportunity — automating complex workflows like research-to-script pipelines — and a risk, as it raises questions about attribution, accuracy, and creative ownership when AI takes extended autonomous action on a creator's behalf.
