Anamorphic Lens

An anamorphic lens is a specialized camera lens that horizontally compresses a wide image onto a standard sensor, which is then de-squeezed in post-production to produce an ultra-wide cinematic image with characteristic horizontal lens flares, oval bokeh, and a distinctive filmic aesthetic. Anamorphic lenses are associated with the look of Hollywood films and are increasingly used by high-production-value creators.
