Color correction is the technical process of adjusting video footage to achieve accurate, neutral, and consistent color representation — fixing issues like incorrect white balance, overexposure, underexposure, and color casts introduced by lighting conditions or camera settings. Color correction precedes color grading in the post-production workflow: first you correct (make it accurate), then you grade (make it stylized). Proper color correction ensures that skin tones look natural, whites appear white, and footage from multiple cameras matches consistently.
