Definition
Periods of difficulty generating ideas, starting projects, or completing creative work — often caused by perfectionism, fear of judgment, creative exhaustion, or an unclear sense of direction. Creative blocks are normal and temporary, but they can feel permanent when you are in them. The most effective remedies are constraints (a specific format or topic), consumption (reading, watching, listening to inspire new ideas), and momentum (starting with something small and easy to build creative energy).
