Definition
The ability to resist the temptation of an immediate reward in favor of a larger or more enduring reward later. In the creator economy, delayed gratification is one of the most important psychological skills a creator can develop. The compounding nature of content creation means that the returns on your early work often do not materialize for months or years. Creators who quit before the compounding begins — because the early results do not justify the effort — never experience the payoff that consistent creators eventually receive.
