Exit Rate

Also known as:Platform Exit Rate

Definition

Exit rate is the percentage of viewers or visitors who leave a platform, page, or video at a specific point without continuing to watch further content. In YouTube analytics, exit rate indicates where viewers are leaving the platform entirely (not just the video), which is distinct from drop-off rate. High exit rates signal that content is not successfully leading viewers into the next video or playlist.
