Invalid Traffic

Also known as:IVTNon-Human TrafficFraudulent Traffic

Definition

Invalid traffic (IVT) refers to any web traffic that does not represent genuine human interest in an advertisement or piece of content — including bot traffic, click fraud, accidental clicks, and traffic from data centers. Ad platforms filter out invalid traffic when calculating advertiser billing and creator revenue, meaning that high IVT rates can significantly reduce a creator's effective monetization.
