ISO

Also known as:ISO SensitivityCamera ISO

Definition

A camera setting that controls the sensor's sensitivity to light, measured on a numeric scale (e.g., ISO 100, ISO 3200). Higher ISO values allow shooting in darker environments but introduce digital noise (grain) into the image. For video creators, managing ISO is critical for achieving clean footage in varying lighting conditions — most cameras perform best at their 'native ISO' value.
