The legal permission granted by a creator to a brand, media company, or individual to use the creator's content, likeness, music, or intellectual property in exchange for a fee. In brand deals, licensing refers to the rights a brand purchases to repurpose a creator's content in their own advertising campaigns beyond the original publication.
