Definition

A monospace font is a typeface in which every character occupies the same horizontal space, regardless of its natural width. Monospace fonts — such as Courier, Consolas, and JetBrains Mono — are the standard choice for code display, terminal interfaces, and technical documentation. Creators in the tech, coding, and developer education space commonly use monospace fonts for code examples and screen recordings.
