Periscope

Periscope was a live streaming app acquired by Twitter in 2015 that allowed users to broadcast and watch live video from mobile devices. Periscope was deeply integrated with Twitter and was instrumental in popularizing live streaming on social media. It was shut down by Twitter in 2021 as live streaming functionality was absorbed into the main Twitter platform.
