Definition

The strategic practice of building a presence and audience across multiple platforms rather than concentrating all content, audience, and revenue on a single channel. Platform diversification reduces the existential risk of algorithm changes, policy shifts, account bans, or platform decline by ensuring that no single platform controls a creator's entire business. It is a core principle of the ownership-first philosophy and a direct defense against digital sharecropping.
