Definition

The model by which digital platforms distribute a portion of advertising or subscription revenue to the creators whose content generates audience engagement and advertiser interest. YouTube, for example, shares approximately 55% of ad revenue with creators through the YouTube Partner Program. Revenue sharing rates and eligibility requirements vary significantly across platforms.
