Definition
A podcast feed is an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) XML file that contains the metadata and episode information for a podcast — including the show title, description, artwork, and links to audio files. Podcast directories like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts use the podcast feed to index and distribute episodes. Every podcast must have a valid RSS feed to be distributed across platforms.
