Definition
A polarizing filter (CPL) is a camera lens filter that reduces reflections, cuts glare from non-metallic surfaces, and deepens the saturation of skies and foliage. Circular polarizers are rotated to control the effect and are particularly useful for outdoor filming near water or glass. They are a staple accessory for travel creators and outdoor videographers.
