Revenue Per View

Also known as:RPVEarnings Per View

Definition

Revenue Per View (RPV) is a metric that calculates the average amount of money a creator earns for each view on their content, across all monetization sources combined — including ad revenue, affiliate commissions, merchandise sales, and direct fan support. Unlike RPM (which measures ad revenue per thousand views), RPV provides a holistic picture of a creator's total monetization efficiency. A creator with a small but highly engaged audience and multiple revenue streams may have a significantly higher RPV than a creator with millions of views who relies solely on ad revenue. Maximizing RPV is a core principle of sustainable creator business strategy.
