Definition
The state of a content niche, platform, or topic area in which the volume of competing content has reached a level where it is significantly more difficult for new creators to break through and gain visibility. Saturation is relative — a niche can be saturated on one platform while remaining underserved on another. The strategic response to saturation is not to avoid the niche but to differentiate through a unique perspective, superior production quality, or a more specific sub-niche positioning.
