Definition
The belief that success in the creator economy is a zero-sum game — that another creator's gain is your loss, that there is a limited audience to go around, and that sharing knowledge or collaborating is a competitive risk. A scarcity mindset leads to hoarding information, avoiding collaboration, and making short-term decisions driven by fear rather than long-term decisions driven by strategy. In reality, the creator economy is one of the most abundant markets in history — the internet has made the audience effectively unlimited.
