Screen Sharing

Also known as:screen cast sharingdesktop sharing

Definition

Screen sharing is the real-time broadcasting of one user's computer or device display to one or more remote viewers. It is used in video calls (Zoom, Google Meet), live streams (OBS, Streamlabs), online courses (Loom, Camtasia), and technical support sessions. For creators, screen sharing is essential for tutorial content, software walkthroughs, podcast recording with remote guests, and collaborative editing sessions. Screen sharing can capture the full desktop, a specific application window, or a browser tab.
