Definition

The practice of distributing content, products, or information to a targeted group of influencers, journalists, or early adopters before a public launch in order to generate organic buzz, reviews, and social proof ahead of the official release. In the creator economy, seeding is used both by brands sending products to creators for review and by creators sharing early access to generate testimonials and word-of-mouth momentum.
