Definition
A time lapse is a video technique in which frames are captured at a much slower rate than they will be played back, compressing long periods of time into short video sequences. Time lapses are used in creator content to show processes, transformations, or environmental changes — such as a day passing, a city waking up, or a creative project being built — in a visually compelling, accelerated format.
