A wiki is a collaboratively edited website or knowledge base where multiple users can create, edit, and organize content. The most famous wiki is Wikipedia, but the wiki model has been adopted for fan communities (Fandom wikis), internal company knowledge bases, and open-source documentation. For creators, wikis represent a community-driven content format where engaged fans document lore, characters, and creator history. Some creators intentionally cultivate wikis as a form of community engagement and as SEO-rich content that drives organic discovery.
